Welcome to the Ruins
The Aztec Ruins National Monument is located in Aztec, New Mexico. Although the ruins were originally attributed to the Aztecs thanks to early American settlers, the people responsible for this area that is now a monument are actually the Pueblo Indians. This monument was established in 1923. The Ruins covers around 320 acres for visitors to explore and learn about the Puebloan people. As you navigate through this website, you will be able to view many areas of the ruins and learn about the lives and culture of the people who resided here.
